Hippocrates Cafe: Jon Hallberg, MD
Monday, October 10, 7:00pm
$10 members, $15 community
Join us for this exciting look at the importance of art for a healthy community. Hippocrates Cafe, founded by Jon Hallberg, MD, is a radio show that uses a series of events designed to illuminate the human condition through creative artistic means. Each event uses professional actors and musicians to explore medical conditions or diseases, incorporating equal measures of humor and reflection.
Hallberg will entertain us with a “best of” show that looks at healthcare through a thoughtful lens using poetry, song, essay and more. Hallberg is medical director of the award-winning, innovative University of Minnesota Physicians Mill City Clinic. Hallberg also serves as regular medical analyst on Minnesota Public Radio’s “All Things Considered,” and manages the Fisch Art of Medicine Student Awards, which affords U of M medical students opportunities to explore the arts and humanities outside of the conventional medical school curriculum.
