The 2011 Half Marathon and 10-Mile Monster Dash is in St. Paul this year! We are very excited to have the races on a course that is fast, beautiful and entertaining. Did we say fast? You just might PR on this course which is all downhill (400 vertical feet total from start to finish — to be exact)!
Combined with the beautiful fall foliage, the start of the race is spectacular! It begins at the picturesque Cathedral of St. Paul that overlooks the city. Participants will run the tree-lined course along historic Summit Avenue and finish in Downtown St. Paul at the Mighty Mississippi (See course info). The chip-timed race is USATF certified.

A mysterious force is at work in the lonely mountains of Transylvania and in London, an unspeakable evil haunting blood and soul. It is the classic tale of the forces of faith and love battling the centuries-old vampire, Count Dracula. First published in 1897, the novel was a best-seller in its day, and its popularity has only grown since, retold hundreds of times in films and books. A retelling of the most popular Gothic horror novel of all time, this production will remain faithful to Bram Stoker’s book while at the same time render it into an exciting theatrical event.

These popular annual tours allow visitors to see the Capitol in a historical setting with lighting similar to what existed when the building opened in 1905. As tour groups move through the shadowy and eerily lit rotunda, hallways and chambers, they will meet historical “spirits” who tell stories of the Capitol’s early history, including a night watchman, Civil War veteran, a woman suffragist, a dome foreman and an artist who decorated the Supreme Court chamber. Tours are 60 minutes and leave every half hour.
